12 December 2022 (23:59 GMT)

Are you a Junior doctor (F1-F3) interested in Obstetrics and Gynaecology?  Would you be keen to make a difference by supporting BUSOG as a Pre-Specialty Ambassador?

The British Undergraduate Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (BUSOG) are looking for new junior doctor ambassadors from each deanery, as part of the Pre-speciality initiative for 2022-2023.

The BUSOG was founded in 2012 and aims to support medical students and for the first time, as of 2020, are extending their audience to include junior doctors. We are affiliated with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and hold events at the Royal College in London.

The Pre-Specialty Ambassador position is a newly established role for this year, giving junior doctors the opportunity to get involved in multiple medical CV-enhancing opportunities. This would include, representing their deanery in organising local/national based events, contributing to audit/research opportunities or teaching resources, as well as promoting the BUSOG name and building professional connections with other O+G professionals.  We would expect a certain level of commitment from our Ambassadors with regards to attendance to annual RCOG events (Junior Doctor’s day) and completing regular tasks. We will however be accommodating to each other’s responsibilities as junior doctors and other commitments.
