The new committee came into office in October 2024 and will hold their positions for two years. We are looking forward to continuing to build upon the excellent work that our predecessors carried out to develop the BUSOG further, so make sure to follow our social media pages for updates!
Our Mission 2024-2026
Our goal is to provide as many events and opportunities as possible to help individuals interested in Obstetrics and Gynaecology learn more about what a career in the specialty could look like for them. This includes continuing to develop the resources available on our website, organising engaging events, and expanding our outreach to make everything we do as accessible as possible.
Our Team

President: Anya Soin
Anya is an FY1 based in the North West, and has always had a particular interest in women’s health. Her academic interests lie in reproductive rights, foetal medicine and fertility. Her passion for the specialty was sparked when undertaking her research project on congenital uterine anomalies and their impact on fertility, and she has since taken on the roles of president of her university O&G society and BUSOG university ambassador before stepping up to lead our National Committee.
Alongside the BUSOG, she is a member of Doctors for Choice and an active volunteer for Surviving in Scrubs, a group campaigning to raise awareness of sexual assault and sexism in healthcare. Anya is extremely excited to use her position as President to share her passion for this wonderful specialty with medical students and resident doctors across the country, as well as raising the profile of the BUSOG and its amazing work. Outside of medicine, Anya enjoys spending time with family and friends, running and eating good food!
